CTE 7-12 Certification Titles
CTE 7–12 certifications are industry-specific and aligned to particular career fields (e.g., Automotive Technology, Culinary Arts, Cybersecurity). These classroom teaching certifications authorize teachers to deliver specialized technical instruction based on industry expertise in grades 7-12 in a New York State public school or BOCES.
Teachers holding CTE 7–12 certification titles may also obtain a Grades 5–6 extension, which permits them to teach within the scope of their certification area at the middle level in grades 5 and 6.
