Monitoring
Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) monitoring is a collaborative process designed to support continuous program improvement, provide technical assistance, and ensure compliance with State requirements under and and . Starting in SY 26-27, the Office of Early Learning will visit approximately 200 districts and direct contract agencies each year as part of a multi-year cycle to ensure all UPK-funded programs receive monitoring support. Selected districts are notified at the beginning of the school year with detailed timelines, required documentation, and visitation protocols. Through this partnership, OEL program liaisons work directly with providers to highlight program strengths and ensure high-quality learning experiences for all children. Any questions about this process can be sent to the Office of Early Learning at oel@nysed.gov.泭
