New York State (NYS)ÌýTeacher CentersÌýprovide thousands of professional learning opportunities, programs, and support to over 275,000 educators statewide. Established in 1984 under °µÍøTV Law 316 to provide systematic, ongoing professional education services for teachers across New York State, there are now 123 Teacher Centers across the state servicing over 600 PK-12 public school districts and nearly 1,000 non-public and charter schools.
