Statement from Board of Regents Chancellor Betty A. Rosa on DACA
Along with Native Americans who emigrated centuries ago and those泭people泭who were brought to this land泭against their will to serve泭as slaves, American society consists of immigrants泭and descendants of immigrants泭from all over the world. 泭Those children and young adults who are currently under the protection of泭the DACA executive order have already contributed positively to the American way of life and have vast potential for future contributions that may surpass all expectations. 泭We need to see our elected leaders at all levels of government do the right thing and strengthen the fabric of our country, not泭tear it apart.
